I would like to volunteer. How can I help?

The Acts of Jack foundation accepts all referrals in the Dallas and Austin areas. If you are able to provide assistance, please contact us. We are looking for help in many ways including temporary housing.

I want to help by providing temporary housing for homeless youth. What do I need to do first?

A background check and fingerprinting will be conducted before a homeless youth will be assigned to your home. Please contact us as soon as possible in order to become eligible once a youth in your area is identified.

Are there any benefits for volunteering my home?

Yes, you will be compensated on a daily rate.

Is there a minimum or maximum I can expect a homeless youth to stay in my home?

No, there is no certain amount of time. Our goal is to provide for the needs of the youth's family in order for his/her family to remain intact. Each circumstance is different and must be evaluated based on need.
